A great activity for kids to develop their map-reading skills and the role of the compass.
Good for both novice and experienced map-readers! Learn the basic map and compass skills in Pathfinder Club time.
We’re heading to Cecil Hills, Western Sydney Parklands.

Each participant will need to register. THE DEADLINE FOR ALL REGISTRATIONS IS March 14th, 9:00 AM.
DROP-OFF PLACE:
Hoxton Park SDA Church Grounds – 355 Hoxton Park Road, Hoxton Park, NSW 2171. Parents and leaders may drop Pathfinders off at HQ; however, parking on site is not permitted. Buses will be escorting drivers to Grassy Grounds near HQ.
Start Point: Drivers to drop attendees off at HQ – Dobroyd Drive, Elizabeth Hills

WHAT TO BRING
Individuals – Long pants, covered hiking shoes, long-sleeved shirts, windbreaker (clothes appropriate to the weather), hat, day pack, pack lunch, snacks, Water and a Compass.
Groups –
WHAT WE SUPPLY
Maps for each participant, a control card, a control point description, and a program that includes the safety guidelines. We will also make available experienced guides to help you read a map, use a compass, and navigate in the bush.
PLEASE NOTE: All clubs will need to be divided into groups of 3 – 8 persons. NO MORE THAN 8 persons per group. One of these SHOULD be a responsible Counsellor/Adult.
