Designed especially for churches without a tech savvy webmaster, Adventist Place website builder enables basic computer users to easily create and manage a simple church website. It also allows a bit of wiggle room to customise the site better serve your church’s need if there is a tech savvy webmaster.
NOTE: The Adventist Place website is created and managed by Adventist Media. The Greater Sydney Conference cannot assist with troubleshooting matters but have provided helpful information on this page.
Developed by and for Adventists, we help empower churches around the world to share the power of the gospel through the web. https://varialabs.com/
It helps to have:
Homepage: Bible study interest button/form, Baptism interest button/form, Visitation interest button/form, Upcoming events
Dropdown menus:
Footer: Linked social media icons, contact info, Acknowledgement of Country:
We acknowledge our God and Saviour Jesus Christ, the creator, provider and supreme owner of all things.
We also acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are the traditional custodians of the land. We pay tribute to elders past and present and acknowledge that they have cared for this country over countless generations.

For many reasons (credibility, security, and accountability), we recommend a branded one. Visit https://sydney.adventist.org.au/resources/church-email-address/.
Your website needs to be secure! Ensure that the church’s branded email is used when setting up a website 3rd party domain and hosting so that your church can access accounts and maintain payments, if any. See the section above to have an adventist.org.au email created if you do not have one.
For ways to prevent your church’s website from being lost or hacked, contact the IT Department at [email protected].

Because churches are responsible for their own website site, and because those websites are not always a template initially set up by the Division or General Conference (the old Net Adventist sites), we can not say. The sites we know of are listed in the conference directory at https://sydney.adventist.org.au/locations/.
To find out if your church has a site:
What does an Adventist Place website look like? What does the Adventist Place admin area look like? Who can sign up? What if my church already has a web presence? What does it cost? How do I get started? Got more questions?
For answers to these questions on Adventist Place sites, visit www.adventist.place/faq.
Contact Adventist Place at https://support.adventist.place/category/121-contact-us. The Conference Communications Department does not have access to the back on of these sites.
Unfortunately, we cannot help with this. You will need to contact the individual who contracted/developer who created the site and/or the domain and hosting provided. There is no way for us access this information.
For churches opting for this route, we HIGHLY recommend have a protocol in place that ensures multiple trusted individuals have access to the site and to it’s domain and hosting account. Once domain and hosting lapse, it can be difficult and expensive to impossible to get that domain back.

Due to limited capacity, Greater Sydney Conference does not provide custom built websites. You will need to hire a professional or company that can build a custom website for you.
We can, however, provide some guidance on your website built. SEO should not be an afterthought. A good website build begins with a wireframe. Get in touch!
