Help Build Belonging this ADRA Appeal by providing someone in need the support system and opportunities they need to improve their wellbeing.
This year we have arranged for a number of activities to help you engage your local community while raising funds for ADRA’s life changing projects in your own backyard and around the world.
For decades, drugs dictated Debbie’s life. She and her family experienced periods of homelessness and money was scarce. Two years ago, Debbie broke her addiction, and she began looking for a support network. She found it at her local ADRA Centre.
The ADRA Appeal is conducted entirely by unpaid volunteers, not paid collectors.
Hundreds of volunteers in every Australian state and territory will be publicly raising funds during October through door knocking and public place collections as part of the annual appeal for the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Australia.
Funds raised during the Appeal will go towards helping people like Jonathon. Hungry and homeless with his three young boys for more than a year, it was the love and care shown by volunteers at Vive Café, and ADRA project in Melbourne, which helped turned Jonathon’s life around. Now, Jonathon has secure accommodation and enthusiastically volunteers each week at Vive Café, so he can help others rebuild their lives too.
There are many way ways to participate in the appeal and more resources will become available by ADRA as we get closer to October.
For those wishing to participate via door knocking, please register by the 31 August deadline.
