PR | Greater Sydney Conference Appointments Committee Names New CFO

    5 February 2021

New GSC CFO Colin Raymond and wife and Bronwyn

This past Monday evening, February 1st, the Greater Sydney Conference Appointments Committee under the Chairmanship of Pr Jorge Munoz, met to prayerfully consider and discuss who should be the appointee as the new CFO, now that Eva Ing has accepted a role at the South Pacific Division.

“It is my privilege and pleasure to introduce the new CFO, Mr Colin Raymond,”says Conference President Pr Terry Johnson.  “Colin contacted Pr Jorge Munoz on Wednesday evening to say that he would accept the appointment, after he’d spent time in prayer with his family and talking with trusted friends about the responsibilities and journey that was before him.”

Colin is a member of our Wahroonga church where he serves as an elder.  Bronwyn, his wife, is a nurse and serves on the Greater Sydney Conference (GSC) Board of Directors, Aged Care.  The couple have three children and are grandparents!

Colin received an MBA from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Science from Sydney University.  He’s the chairman of the board of Asian Aid and a director on two other NGO’s; 3 Angels Nepal & the AUC Executive committee.  His experience includes being Chief Operating Officer of Trans Union Advantage and Lead Financial Sector Specialist for the World Bank Group.

“Colin brings a wealth of knowledge and soft skills to the role of CFO for GSC and our 3 companies, 1020 employees and 10,000 members with all the liabilities and assets thereunto contained,” says Terry.

With his love of the Gospel of Jesus in the context of the 3 Angels messages, personal missional experience and public speaking abilities, Colin has the spiritual gifts, calling and CV to take on the challenges of the role that have been more than ably run by Eva over the last 7 years.

We wish him and his family well.  I’m sure you’ll join me in praying with and for him that the Holy Spirit will continue to pour over him as Colin continues in this new capacity to serve in God’s vineyard.

May the Lord bless His mission through Colin’s ministry.
