    A day expo for networking with others passionate about bringing wellness into the community.

    Gain ideas on how to be a health influencer in the community and how to transform your church to be a centre of influence. Hear from people around Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne doing just that. Find out what resources are available for your health ministry outreach. Learn about Elia Wellness, what it can do for you and how it can help others too!

    We’ll have an ELIA Wellness partner training onsite to take questions and show how to run ELIA Wellness programs for your community.

     

     


     

    HEALTH WORKSHOPS

    There will be multiple workshops available in the morning & afternoon. Please choose two (2) that you can attend with one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

     

    Benefits of gratitude – facilitating Empowered and Purposeful Living programLed by ELIA Wellness team member

    This new spiritual program from ELIA Wellness, Empowered and Purposeful Living, can serve as a bridge between a health program and Bible study, small group, or evangelism seminar. This workshop explores the ins and outs of facilitating Empowered and purposeful Living program and the first topic on Gratitude.

     

    Healthy food, happy walletLed by Lillian and Jeremy Petrovic

    Eating healthy doesn’t mean that you have to blow your budget, nor does it means taste goes out the window. Learn from this workshop how to prepare plant-based meals that are tasty, affordable and nutritious for the body.

     

    Home Health RemediesLed by Jolie Kenny and Zoe Weslake

    Learn the ways of medical missionary in doing natural treatment in the home. You’ll discover how to use some natural remedies for treatment and healing for some ailment or injuries. There will be demonstration on the basics of hydrotherapy treatment and massage.

     

    Setting up a garden for you and the communityLed by Amos Thiel

    Learn how to set up a garden in your own home/garden and extend your gardening skills to set up a community garden to connect with members of your community. Amos will teach you the basic skills and tips on how to grow your garden for your benefits and others and to just enjoy being outside and building relationships with your fellow gardener friends.

     

    How to set up a community health screeningLed by Dr Christiana Leimena-Lehn

    Connect with your community by reaching out to them in the public arena instead of waiting for them to come to you. Learn how to set up a health screening program in your own community, how this can be a platform in connecting with the members of the community and how to get a team together.

     

    Mental Health (First Aid) and the ChurchLed by Leo Barreto

    For most of us, topics like mental illness, abuse, chronic emotional & psychological pain and suicide, are uncomfortable subjects to speak about, particularly within the church context. In this workshop, we will unpack some of these difficult subjects and explore through an evidence-based lens, how we as individuals and churches, can identify and assist those in emotional distress.

     

    Practical tips for planning a health programLed by Sharon Duncan and Doedie Fatt

    Have you done the training but haven’t quite plucked up the courage to put on a program? Are you thinking of doing the training and would like to experience how a program can be run? This workshop gives you great tips for program planning and scheduling and presentation, along with experiential learning.

    For pastors, health leaders, health team members, health professionals, anyone interested in health and/or evangelism. If you have a burden for your church to reach the community, this is a program for you!
