Medical and non-medical volunteers needed to assist in Mega Health clinic in Mt. Hagen, Papua New Guinea 16-19 April, 2024.
AWR360° Health are looking for a team of 400 volunteers, to include:
We are told that with the appropriate number of staff we can easily have 1,000 people per day asking for medical/dental services.
There is a shortage of medical professionals in the Mt. Hagen region. With 1 dentist for over 200,000 people, the need is great. Our purpose and mission is to follow Christ’s example by providing 360˚ of whole-person healing to those who have little or no access to health care and offer as many medical services as we have specialties for. With the help of volunteers, we aspire to provide as many free medical, dental, eye care and surgical services as possible.
PNG Mega Health Clinic is partnering with AWR360° Health, Papua New Guinea Union Mission, 10000 Toes and Elia for this project. You are invited to participate in this wonderful medical outreach!

Frequently Asked Questions
Volunteers cover their own flight and hotel expenses. We are hoping to get everyone on the same flight from Port Moresby to Mt. Hagen and back to POM. Flight cost inside PNG will be about $440. So before you buy a PNG flight, please reach out to Suzanna.
At the hotel the cost for 1 bed is about $122/night. Cost for 2 beds is about $137/night. We will make the hotel reservations for everyone. Meals will be provided once you are in Mt. Hagen.

These are the approximate costs for the Spiritual/Social Retreat after the medical clinic:
Transportation to specific locations on the AWR360° Health Spiritual & Social Retreat will be provided. Your own personal choices or airport shuttle services between the airport and hotel will not. Organisers are aiming for hotels with free shuttles.
Hotel in Mt. Hagen is approximately $865 for double occupancy from April 14th to April 21st.
Flight from POM to HGU (Pt. Moresby to Mt. Hagen) roundtrip is Approx US$440.
Targeted flight:
Flight April 21 POM to CNS (Cairns) Approx. US$167.
Hotel in Cairns approx. US$125/night x 3 nights = $375
Monday: Nature trip. Bus transport will be provided by AWR360° Health.
Tuesday: Trip to Green Island AUD$96. (Note Australian dollars)
OR
Tuesday: trip to Reef Magic Pontoon AUD$330.
Wednesday: Morning Flight to Sydney Approx. US$136.
Bus transport to tour Sydney arranged by AWR360° Health.
Hotel in Sydney Approx. $150-200.
Cost per person is about $1200/person or about $2000/per couple.
Volunteers will all wear a t-shirt/polo that will be supplied to the organisation. International volunteers will receive two t-shirts/polos as they will not have laundry facilities.
Comfortable pants and closed-toe shoes are suggested.
Nurses are highly encouraged to bring their own stethoscope.
