As we wrap up 2024, the Greater Sydney Conference

As we wrap up 2024, the Greater Sydney Conference team gathered this week to reflect on the year that was and shake a little loose as we prepare for 2025.

This year's End-of-Year party included an office survey in which Pr. Daron Pratt (Family Ministries) won for "Best Staff Worship", Pr Dejan Stojkovic (Youth Ministries) took home the "Office Joker" prize, and Libby Paul (WHS) won for "Best Office Chef".

This year Pr. Cheonneth Strickland (Gen. Secretary) was acknowledged for 20 years of services within GSC, and Pr. Andre Vieira (Ministerial Association) was acknowledged for 15 years of service.

Lastly, on a bittersweet note, we farewelled Pr Eden Ashcroft who will be moving to to a new role as Youth Director at Western Australia Conference. Blessings to Eden and Michael Pupovac who recently stepped down from his role at ABC in their next endeavours. 🙌 #sydneyadventists #AdventistsAustralia

Every Sunday morning from 8 to 9 a.m., Jordan Noel

Every Sunday morning from 8 to 9 a.m., Jordan Noel runs a boot camp at Hoxton Park Seventh-day Adventist Church (@_iamyouth). Between 15 and 25 people in all age groups gather in beginner, intermediate, and senior classes. The program includes an opening prayer and warm up followed by strength and endurance training, cardio, flexibility, balance, anaerobic exercises and cool-down stretches. After a closing prayer, anyone interested can stay another hour for recreational boxing instruction.

Jordan knows what he’s doing. He came to Australia from Papua New Guinea (PNG) under the sponsorship of Australian Sports Combat in kickboxing and boxing. Mamarapha College celebrated its 2024 graduation on November 16, recognising the achievements of 18 students under the theme “More Than Enough.” The event marked a year of record attendance at the college and highlighted the students’ hard work and commitment.

Among the graduates were GSC's own Henry Dunn (The Way Redfern, who completed an Advanced Diploma in Pastoral Ministry. Congratulations, Henry and fellow graduates! 🎓 #sydneyadventists
