A free 90-minute Grand Christian Musical Concert will be held at the Waitara Seventh Day Adventist Church on Saturday, 28th October, 2017.

Featuring Marleta Fong, The Ukelele Ensemble, Wantok Singers and many others.

After close of Sabbath, there will be international food stalls, Alco-free stand, followed by an auction of exquisite Home Made cakes, Hampers and other items.

    • The chance to improve the lives of AIDS widows & orphans in Kenya

Expenses are covered by volunteers and the Woollahra Seventh-day Adventist Church. All proceeds go directly to theNyalgunga Widows and Orphans Community Development and Education Project (Nyalwocodep​).

Catalina Deaf Camp 2017

Catalina Conference Centre is proud to host the Catalina Deaf Camp 2017, October 27-30. The camp is being organised by SDA Deaf Church Down Under and Christian Services for the Blind and Hearing Impaired.

Come and hear Deaf American Pastor Jeff Jordan present on this important topic, “Does God hear the deaf?“. His message will be translated from American Sign Language to Auslan.

A brand new chamber ensemble is calling for semi-professional vocalists.

Singers are invited to audition for an exciting new chamber ensemble based in Sydney! Conductor Dr Robb Dennis aims to form an ensemble of up to 16 members and is calling on all voice types to express interest. Applicants should have prior voice training and/or extensive choral experience, as well as music-reading ability. My name is ANTHONY HUTAPEA co-ordinator of the Waitara Ukulele Ensemble [SDA]. We are an existing Waitara Ukulele Ensemble consisting of 15 members. Our GOAL is to play our ukulele, sing and to praise the Lord.

We are inviting ukulele players including beginners to join us. We meet fortnightly. We perform at different churches to sing and play our ukulele therefore adding an an unique sound to add inspiration to the worship.

3am Macquarie Bible Worker Position

3am Company Macquarie is seeking a passionate, spiritual and committed Bible worker for it’s campus ministry.

This Bible Worker position is focused on bringing individuals from no faith to faith. This is primarily done through local community outreach, which includes door-knocking, conducting Bible studies and nurturing seekers through friendship based evangelism and weekly Friday night CARE groups. This person will also play an active role in ASOC (Adventist Students on Campus) by canvassing students on campus and help with O-week set up and planning.

The Bible worker must be a self starter, have highly effective communication skills, have good organisational skills and the ability to work independently and in a team and be able to relate to people of all ages and nationalities.

Prior Bible worker experience is desirable but not necessary. Must be a practicing baptised member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with a strong commitment to its mission.

This position is full time but part-time can be negotiated.

Volunteers Wanted

AVS FLY & BUILD 

A team of volunteers led by May Schwalger will be undertaking a Fly-and-Build trip to Savaii, Samoa during the month of February 2018 to provide general repair maintenance to the Siufaga Adventist Primary School. The completion of these jobs will be limited only by the amount raised.
