Kurdish Lobby Australia (KLA), of which I am a member, is a not for profit organisation that advocates for and aids Kurdish people in Australia and their homelands in Iraq, Iran, Syria and Turkey.
We are conducting a fund raising seminar for the over 12,000 refugees in the Kurdish Region of Iraq (KRI) who are receiving very little outside aid and need everyday items like food and medicines, and vital infrastructure like generators and water filters.
On my recent trip to the KRI, I met many people including politicians, academics, military, ethnic and women’s leaders, and everyday citizens. Some of them and the Kurdish people in Australia have asked for and are looking to Christians to help them in their struggles for survival, health, education and human rights and freedoms.
Please come along to this event to help this very worthy cause and meet and form relationships with the wonderful Kurdish people like those who welcomed and entertained me in their picturesque land.
