31st National Christian Family Conference

10-11 July

There will always be someone ready to make a humorous comment about marriage! The well-known writer, Anonymous, said, Marriage is when a man and woman become as one; the trouble starts when they try to decide which one. Mignon McLaughlin got a little more serious when he stated, A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.

The 31st National Christian Family Conference will focus on the good news about marriage. Our keynote speaker is Shaunti Feldhahn from the US, author of numerous research-based books that have sold over 2 million copies and been translated into 23 different languages.

Bettina Arnd will return to our conference and will present on the growth in on-line dating and how this might impact on marriage and the development of intimate relationships.

Think&Do: A journey through giving with Avondale

Power to think and do: it’s a gift from the Creator. Seventh-day Adventist Church pioneer Ellen White makes the statement to encourage exploration and engagement (Education, p. 17). Giving to Avondale through its Think&Do campaign demonstrates your support for her philosophy. Journey with us as we accept the challenge of learning and discovery. And as we use this knowledge to improve lives. Your donation will support our research centres as they seek to give us a better understanding of Christian education, health and lifestyle, teaching and learning and spirituality and worship. Giving to the centres will help fund new projects, support employment of research assistants and improve information technology to build capacity for data processing and train more research supervisors. Donations above $2 are tax deductible in Australia.
