We believe that our gatherings are opportunities to “spur each other onto good deeds” (Hebrew 12:35) so as to make a difference in our community. BREATHE provides the platform for mobilisation and each year women are presented with opportunities to serve and support worthy causes both locally and internationally.
BREATHE is a special space in time. Always inspiring. Always life changing.

Charissa Torossian (née Fong) – Key Speaker
Charissa graduated from Macquarie University in Sydney with a Secondary Teaching qualification in 2011. However, her passion for ministry led her to pursue further studies in Theology and Ministry at Avondale.
At the age of 16, Charissa was asked to preach an evangelistic series in Sydney, which set her life on a course of mission and ministry she never dreamed possible. Ever since, Charissa has kept a busy national and international speaking schedule. After graduating from Avondale College in 2014, Charissa worked as a Regional Coordinator for the Discovery Team at Adventist Media, before commencing her work as a Prayer Ministries Coordinator for the NNSW Conference.
Today, she is married to the love of her life and partner in ministry, Pr Justin Torossian.
The Heart2Heart Pillow Project aims to encourage healing, offer support and provide comfort to breast cancer patients and other people who had surgery. The pillow is used to soothe both physical and emotional pain immediately after surgery, radiation or treatment. It not only helps to provide protection and support to the wound but is also a source of comfort and a token of love and care. Sydney Adventist Women have set a goal of 500 heart pillows to be made and donated to this course.
